I currently Speak english and french fluently and am looking to learn spanish. I work shift work so I am unable to take a course. Does anyone know of any effective ways to learn basic Spanish without taking a class in it?
Rosetta stone is supposedly really successful.
So far I’ve taken 3 and a half years of spanish in high school but that means nothing cause i know they only teach proper spanish and most spanish speakers use slang. So Im going to practice speaking with my boyfriend who’s first language is spanish and he’s going to constantly talk to me in spanish, only speaking english when i absolutely don’t understand. How long do you think it would take me to learn to speak spanish proficently if i work hard on this?
Not so long. I mean … what you’re doing now should be very useful & helpful.
Maybe a year or perhaps even less … maybe more, the time it would take you would be according to how much you practice.
Try to talk to him in Spanish all the time as well … unless you really don’t know a word and can’t find any other way of saying it …

My daughter’s high school recently dropped german and french as a second language. They will now only allow spanish to be taught. The teacher who teaches both spanish and german is still employed there and also upset about the change. My daughter wanted to take french her freshman year and it was not being offered. This year she went for german and they dropped it. She does not want to learn spanish. I think it should be a persons right to speak any language they choose to or not to speak. Is he going to try to enforce it in the schools if elected?
Who knows want he will do if elected. But I agree with you on language of choice.
I want to lean to speak spanish a lot better. I Think it would help if I could email or i.m. some one who speaks it very well. But I don’t want to meet them in real life or anything.I don’t want to talk to any adults. I would like the person to be a girl preferably but a boy might work between the ages of 14-17.I would like them to speak it fluently.

If you would be willing to teach someone English while they help you with Spanish, you could look into a language-exchange program. If so, please make sure you teach them the proper spelling of English just as you would like to learn proper Spanish, right?
As an example, your misspelled words should be spelled r-e-a-l-l-y and l-a-n-g-u-a-g-e.

I am trying to figure out how to learn to speak Spanish fluently. I have heard some people say that the Rosetta Stone method is good but im not so sure. I was also thinking of returning to college. Any help would be great!
roseta stone byki.com and watch a lot of TV shows in Spanish even though u don’t get a thing of what their are saying because that is good way to help ur hearing ops almost forgot make sure u have the CC1 or 2
sometimes 3. then try speaking it on one of those Latino/ Spanish yahoo chat rooms and try reading the news in Spanish that helps a lot.

I would like to learn spanish but I don’t really know where to start. What would be a good book/website/program/whatever that would help me learn to speak spanish fluently. It would have to be relatively inexpensive because I’m poor, haha . I’m hoping after I learn spanish I could learn French, Chinese and maybe Italian.

I want to learn to speak Spanish fluently and I cannot go to language school in a Spanish speaking country. What is the best software to use to learn to speak Spanish fluently? (I am looking for something that covers beginner through advanced)
