    I will tell you the easiest trick to know the gender, generally if the word finish is A is female and if finish in O is masc. Easy like that. Almost everything that finish in A is fem and the rest is Masc. ;-)

    How do you know what things come male or female?
    The easiest way (and generally is) small objects are female and large or big objects are male.
    Esta puerta, este portón.
    Esta naranja (fruit), este naranjo (orange tree).
    Esta carreta, este carretón.
